Television

Can you live without a TV? Is there a particular program you want to watch every day? Which electronical devices are essential in your daily life?

hm, without tv ,i can live well. but in my childhood, it's important to me. nw i dunt think those electronical devices are essential to me.
i wanna live simply. i dunt ask too much of the substances, which will be my burden in daily life. i value the LOHAS.
for instance, cellphone is not essential to me, which i always leave it in the desk when i'm out. so a lot of my friends complain that they cant find me. :P besides, though laptop is on my desk in the dorm, i dunt use it regularlly when i am in college, for i always stay in the library. i prefer to stay with these books rather than face those electronical with radiation.( but nw i'm on holiday, i use laptop regularlly). :D

I can live without a television. Now that there's things like Youtube or Hulu I find that there is no need for it. I watch very few shows on the television and most are available for free to watch on Hulu. But I don't think Europe has it. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Sorry, currently our video library can only be streamed from within the United States - that was the message I got when I tried to watch movies at Hulu.... that's a pity, though. I want to watch my favourite TV shows in English but it's not that easy. Anyway, it works when you know how/where to do it.

I don't watch TV at all, I'd say. Except from a few times when I watch because my parents do. All of my shows are available on internet and nowadays it's even no problem to watch TV online (the quality is not as good, though).

yeah it sucks.. I can't watch certain American shows because of that :(

But oh well.. a life without TV is a little quiet. But I dpon't watch TV that often anyway, so I guess I would cope fine without it. I don't have a TV myself.. so I have to share it with mum and dad anyway :D

I can live without a tv :P, simply because I don't have too many shows any more that I want to or have to see :P.
Should they start broadcasting Spoed again, however, than I'll watch tv more often :P

I don't know if I could live without a TV. When I'm alone I like to watch series when I'm eating or when I'm just lazy. Of course, I have a laptop or computer where I can watch my series, but it's just not the same for me.

Yeah! :P Especially the first seasons that aren't on the internet :O
@Sara: I have to agree with you that tv actually has it's pro's against a PC, it's somehow nicer sometimes just not to be in charge what to see, which is the case when you atch things from your PC.

I could do without watching television programs, but could I do without a tv set? Only if I had to.

When my Mom was alive, she and I would host a movie weekend with my aunts, cousins, and close friends. We'd spend an entire weekend in our pajamas eating junk food and watching one movie after another. We would laugh and cry and eat pizza, popcorn, and chocolate covered almonds. We couldn't do this often without risking death by carbohydrate overdose, but once or twice a year was perfect.

I don't really watch television programs, but I love movies. It reminds me of the times I spent with my Mom. I can use my laptop to watch movies, but I'd rather watch on a big screen so I can share the experience with friends. It is not the same watching "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" or "Young Frankenstein" when you're alone. There's no one to share the laughter with. And who wants to sit alone with a box of tissues watching a chic flick?

I used to watch TV with my mum until I owned my laptop. Then I often surf the Internet when I'm free. But I dunt think my mum feel lonely, because my little brother always accompany with her. Look, they are watching TV together. ;)

Has anyone seen 'How I Met Your Mother'? That's such a cool comedy show... :) I've already watched the first season and it's just hilarious.

You can watch it all if you google 'project free tv'. Have fun.

I have seen "How I Met Your Mother," and it is hilarious! As anyone seen the English television comedy "Doc Martin?" I recently found it on Hulu, and have watched the entire 4 seasons. A new season is starting up in 2011.
