Shelfari

Is anyone familiar with the website Shelfari?

It's a website on which you can add all your book info, like which books you own, have read, plan to read etc etc
So, just have a look and create your own digital bookshelf!

I haven't heard of this website before but that sounds quite interesting... but I'm not sure whether I really should make myself a digital bookshelf - sounds like a lot of work. ;-) I have quite much books... haha. So did you? Are you able to share your bookshelf? I'm just wondering... :)

It really looks quite interesting.. hey and I've read Hamlet also quite soon. ;-) Did you like it?

Mh sadly you don't live next door... now after I've seen your bookshelf I'd like to borrow some books... haha.

Perhaps I'm going to make also one - but I know that it'll take forever to put only the books on the list which are in my room right now... :D

Okay... I give it a shot: http://www.shelfari.com/o1514413891/shelf
Well now I picked the first couple of books I remember... at least 29 in a few minutes. :whistling:

Ah I see... you've read quite a lot books which I haven't seen yet. And of course also a few which we both read in school. :D

You are right about twilight... I'm such a guy. But I read it in English to pratice it and so I took the one in the school library which is new... and surprisingly it was twilight. I used to say that I'm not really in the target group of that book (more for a 16 year old girl I think?). Have you read it too? Did you like that book? I must say that it's okay but I know better ones... but well... it's a good written story about vampires and contains also a romance - why not? :)

haha, ok! no, I didn't read it. I don't know, the story doesn't really interest me, and those little passages from twilight which I read was enough to tell me, nope, that's not for you! I'm not really into such teenage-romance things...>_>' and also that Edward sprinkles is kind of... weird... not really vampire-style!O_O' It's like harry potter for me, everyone else loves it, and I'm there and thinking: why? I can't understand this "hype". And what I've heard now from twilight was... that it is really, really boring sometimes! You think that to? (even from Twilight fans I heard that... which is strange...)

Oh yeah... I really hated Werther, with all those dramatic moments, it was so full of emotions, I had really difficulties with reading it! lol

I just tripped over this thread again and I realized that I should have a look what I have on my list and I might update it a bit soon. ;) There are simply too much books I have in my shelf to update... and by the way, there aren't many people who're looking what I have on my virtual shelf anyway. haha.

And it's a good point about the recent "book" hypes - we can't understand why... but I imagine that there are people who think they have to read a particular book just because everyone else thinks it's great - and what can you do afterwards than just say that it was awesome (even though it really isn't). There are just a few who really say and mean that these books are exaggerated, I guess.

You never know :P. Perhaps you have some secret followers :P
I use Shelfari also as reminder which books I wanted to have, I saw on the internet or in shops. So ths site can be convenient sometimes :P

And I discovered the editing of books and authors of the site, which can be quite fun to do :P
