yeah :S well got two points now.. one related to disappearing English identity.. which is kind of hard to measure.. and the other: does devolution make it possible for Scotland (or Wales) to be independent countries within the EU? In the future...

@Arianne: I can't but agree with you. :) Milton was a truly extraordinary poet - and a very unconventional one indeed - though it should be mentioned here that most of his works are rather difficult to read (especially in the original :)), analyse and discuss.

@Arianne: and what a challenge it could have possibly been! :) :) Have you read "King Arthur's Death" by Thomas Malory? As a matter of fact, the original title of this compilation is written in French - "Le Morte d'Arthur".

Of course I read it ;-) it's a part of English literature courses. So I read it during my studies. :) ;)

Hehe, alright. :) Me too. I just find this literary work no way easier than those written by John Milton. I might be mistaken however...

practice could help. I found it difficult at first, until I read those things regularly :)

Right you are. :) If a man keeps on reading only easy and primitive books, he'll never get to the complicated and "above-his-head" ones. :)

"Paradise Lost" by John Milton

That's a classic that still awaits to be read :)

At the moment 2 books have joined the 'must read for my thesis' list, being both about "Vertebrate Taphonomy", not your everyday subject ;). Besides that, in my little spare time I'm reading Shield of Thunder, the sequel to Lord of the Silver Bow. Sometimes you just need some fiction to be able to relax ;)

Is it still interesting? :P

Yes, it really is. I imagined that this kind of book (purely theoretical, academical) is boring, but I was wrong, fortunately. :D

Paradise Lost is a book which I haven't read yet as well.... my list is getting bigger and bigger... I haven't even managed to read "War and Peace" yet because a few other books were more important to go through (for studies, discussions, etc).

I started in the Iliad some days ago. Apart from that I'm reading a book about Belmont Castle in Israel, about which I have to write an essay before friday  , but after that I'd be happy to forget the subject :P

Right now I'm reading 'Democracy and Education' by John Dewey. I started reading it because of a recommendation in a lecture... so far it is actually quite interesting. ;) It's just lovely that you can get this book for kindle for free... hehe.

I'm reading "Byakuyako" atm. I once saw the drama series, and know i try to read in original... which means, it is in Japanese (and it has about 800 pages...). The good thing is i know the story already, so it's quite easy, even if i don't understand every single word!:D i hope i can read it till the end (i try to read 10 pages every day).

I started in the Iliad some days ago.

Still not finished... it's a bit tougher to read than anticipated. A bit too much text on the appearance and thoughts of people etc, but it's still in the planning to finish ;)

In the meanwhile read Congo by Michael Crichton and Korona by Thomas Thiemeyer. Both nice books, though I'd recommend not to read them both at the same time, as the basic plot shares some similarities, so that'll get you confused while switching from one story to another ;)
Now (re)reading: Medusa by Thiemeyer
