What About Opera And Theatre?

Well I'm wondering what you think about opera and theatre... most of the young people aren't going that much there and so I'm also talking for myself I think. I have been to the opera in Vienna once and for me it was quite an interesting experience. Sadly it's really expensive here and you also have to go to another part of Switzerland. In Vienna it was affordable also because of their thought that everyone should be able to go to opera... how wonderful, isn't it? So a "bad" place is really cheap but therefore you can pay it. :)

Very impressive (that's a part from the play I have seen):

So what do you think about it? And what about theatre? Do you like it?

but real concert is so great!!! inspite of no full Opera.
after concert I and my friend sing in street with full of exitement!!
And it's very fun because of singer's acting. :3
Opera's expression is intense. It's like a soap drama as if musical is like a sitcom.

Does a musical also count in this one? :P or is that regarded as to popular in this meaning? I've been to 2 musicals: The Lion King, which was just really great. Was my first and still the best :P. The other one was 'The Wiz', but it was slightly childish and not too interesting :P.

Concerning theatre I've been to a few plays: a play about Ludwig II in Munich, a play about Hippolytos (by the story of Euripides). That play was quite interesting, because the female roles were played by men and vice versa :P. After that I've seen a play about Medea, also by Euripides and a 'theatre marathon' of the play 'Odysseus', which lasted 6-8 hours :P. I really loved that play!

I do like to go to theatre, but it has to be a subject that interests me :P

Though for operas it depends.. I loved Don Giovanni from Mozart. :)

I love the video you chose to share of the Queen of the Night. Mozart is my favorite composer, and The Magic Flute is one of my favorite operas. The video you chose to share featuring the Queen of the NIght shows one of the most amazing arias ever written, in my opinion. It shows the great talent of both the composer and the performer. I am amazed by the ability of the soprano who is able to perform that complex piece of music. Imagine the control she must exhibit to do it!

I love theater and opera, but it would be hard for me to choose just one favorite.
