For the ones over here who are studying, what made you decide to go to the uni you're attending now? Was it a good choice or would you rather've been somewhere else?

I haven't started yet so I can't say anything about how it is like there.

My reasons why I've chosen this particular one: It's not too big and therefore more familiar than other ones. Furthermore the reputation especially in my field of Geography is excellent compared with other universities in Switzerland. Well, that's more or less it... and I even like the city as well. :)

I had tow choices. To go to Geneva and study Japanese in French or going to Zurich, which is nearer and in German. So I decided for Zurich.

There were only 2 universities in the country which offer my study. Maastricht and Amsterdam. Maastricht was far away and more into economics. While Amsterdam is close and more focused on the EU and languages. In which I'm also more interested.

Well, my situation is quite similar to that of Arianne's. The only difference is that there was only 1 University offering classical education in foreign languages in my home city at the time when I graduated from high school.
