Underage Drinking

Underage drinking is quite a big topic these days - so how it is like in your country? What's your opinion about it? When did you start drinking alcohol and do you know children who've been in hospital because of drinking?

There are quite some I think. They'd just use their older friends to get alcohol and use that. Or they fake their ID cards when they're going to a bar or so.
In my opinion underaged people could drink some, but only when there's a responsible 'supervisor' like a parent or so, or just indeed when they can wait, postpone it to when they have a legal age.

I more or less don't drink alcohol. At maximum it's about 4 times a year and not more than 1 or 2 glasses xD. Don't really like the taste of alcohol and often rather prefer soft drinks. Though I've had some alcohol before my 16th (legal age in the netherlands for alcohol till about 15% (?)), but that was mostly just a nip of the drink and not a whole glass, more or less all times with either my parents or family.

I know some... One was a kid at school who was sent to the hospital before 9 am (!) because he drank way too much. He was 14 or 15 then.

In the region I live it's coma-drink-hour after 10pm... so I guess that says it all. When a boy reaches the age of 12 here in some villages, his dad gives him a crate of beer.. with the order to drink all in one week otherwise the boy in question isn't considered to be a ''man'. I guess this shows what kind of problem it is around here, and that it also has something to do with local culture and prejudices. I still think it's bad though..

I drink a few times a month (can be every week.. can be no drinks for 3 months :D ) yesterday I've had a glass of wine.. but then my limit is 3 glasses max. When it's 4 or more I become a little tipsy which isn't something I like to be :D
Just be yourself, there are enough 'others'!
