Random Chat

In this thread you can say anything you like, for example what you've done today or what you're going to do or random other things members of this site should know (or not :P)!

What I want to say about my day...
I voted for the national elections today :D, manmanman... I fear the worst for the results, but hope that'll it'll turn out ok ;)

And... I'm probably allergic to my cat :( , which was diagnosed because I kept having respiratory problems despite the rainy day (I also have pollen allergy, but that's not supposed to trigger the reactions I have now, on such a rainy day...) But the cat stays ofcourse ^^, so probably when the pollen season is over, I have less reactions.

Yesterday driving lessons... which totally sucked... argued with a friend (and still in that argument today) went to Amsterdam with 8 friends to watch sex and the city 2. Which was baaaaaad :P but funny though. So I was home at 00:30, turned on the TV and watched the election results.... worst nightmare almost came true..

Today.. driving lessons (which went well :D) mail some teachers.. and that's about it.. I'll see what this day will bring!

What I have done today? Well I collected about 8 tons rubbish and another 10 tons paper. So it was quite an exhausting day... haha. It was fun though, because the pupils helped me to throw paper inside the truck.

Apart from that I created now a collection of my best pictures from Australia/New Zealand for my relatives - I'll show it tomorrow.

That's pretty much it. :)

Nice of the pupils to help you ;)

Today I worked on my thesis once again... not done that much to it though, still have some days left for it :P
This evening, from 5 to 8 I was at the badminton, helping the children with their training and also participating sometimes, which was quite funny :P. Especially because I have a 'fan' :P, a 10 year old boy who always wants to play badminton with me :P

Plans for tonight... Thesis again, hopefully now I can do some serious work on it and get to see the *ping* light to help me a bit further ^^. And perhaps watch a part of the world cup :P

yesterday... argued with a friend.. and decided not to talk to him anymore.. So really had a bad night after that.

Today I had to go to work, which was a little busy. My grandparents have come over to spend the week here. Tomorrow we will celebrate my dad's and mum's birthday with the family. So I'll be some busy :D

How were the birthdays? :)

Man, I was stressed yesterday because of uni o.0. I wanted to apply for a research master (had to pick 1, but still was doubting enormously between what I liked and what would probably be work prospectively better, ended on the last one, because I was stupid enough to listen to other people than myself xD), the deadline for application was also yesterday...
Thursday last week I send an email to the education commitee, but got the reply yesterday at 5, which was... after the deadline, so hurray for the good communication around there...

Had to type a motivational letter for the spplication, which became a ... hopeless letter, but well :P. And had to hand in my ba thesis, which is still not finished (because of my teacher.. not my fault this time ^^). Handed it in, but have no idea if they'll pick me, so heading to the back-up plan of geoarchaeology at the VU in Amsterdam, where I don't have to apply via some dubious ways :P

Today... working on my thesis sort of. Couldn't find much to improve anymore. Went to the city in search of food colouring for my birthday cakes, mwhaha :P (if it's succeeded, I'll pos the pictures :P), but couldn't find it, so a bit of a useless action, as was a major part of the day; spending time on internet doing all but things for my study ^^

@ Nike.. the birthdays were ok.. just a little busy. :)

Again had problems with studielink and the UvA yesterday. It's driving me crazy. Meanwhile I'm in the mood to kill a teacher slowly and painfully.. since he promised to post the marks of my last exam on BB on the 14th of June.. and guess who's still waiting for her mark? And due to the same university I can't do the second minor in German I wanted to do :( because it overlaps with my first minor European law.. so now I had to find some other subjects to fill the gap. And the lucky course is.... Modern European History: EU and global relations. Lets see what that is ;-)

Meanwhile being some angry at people who never respond although you called them 10 times, send them messages and the like. But most probably it isn't their fault.. just me being stressed out by everything which is going wrong.

Today is cleaning day though (I always clean out my entire room after I have all my grades... but oh well.. couldn't wait.. so I'm going to start today anyway). And I'm waiting for 4 books to arrive by mail today.. bought those as a treat for myself for being able to pass science of philosophy in one go! :D

The unis don't want us anymore :O, there's more and more evidence coming that they're plotting some evil scheme against us! (Hmm... maybe it's the government itself :P)

Which books have you ordered?
Monday I took the liberty of buying some books too, also because of uni, haha :P (as for having almost finished my thesis ^^). Anyway, I went to the Slegte (which sells new and used books) and left the store with... I, Claudius (Anyone knows the series? This is the book the series is more or less based on :P), Alexander: Child of a dream (1st part in a trilogy, don't know weather it's good or not, but I'll notice :P) and Gideon (by Russel Andrews), a book about a ghost writer (couldn't find the Ghostwriter book I was looking for, so bought another one instead, haha :P)

Yesterday.. I finally won a badminton match again :D, it was a mixed double and till than me and my mix-partner have only played together for 5 times, this being the 3rd time during the local matches :P, so we were quite happy with that :P

@Arianne; Is your room squeeky clean now? :P Mine needs a go too... Want to do mine aswell? :P haha

Ahw, that's too bad :( :P

I have aching muscles from survivalling yesterday xD. I annoyed the kids from our badminton club by getting to the other side clean most of the time, with my monkey-like abilities :P (e.g. hanging upside-down from a rope and crawl to the other sids without falling in the mud xD). During the first few obstacles they were yelling to the 3 of the leaders (including me) that we had to fall down into the water, but allas for them, the first few times we managed to get to the other side normally :P
But it was cold o.0, standing there in your soaked clothes, with some nice wind xD, took me a few hours to get my normal temperature again..
But it was nice :D (and muddy :P)

And in the afternoon we went to the cinema with some other kids from the badminton, to Robin Hood. Cool movie :D, exciting sometimes, because I did not really trust it if they were being true to the following story or not, for letting some characters die or nit etc :P

Been to my grandfather's birthday yesterday... which was just too boring. So I've been sending text messages to one of my friends the whole day.. eventually he called me and said: yeah.. I'm right in front of the flat now, I came to your rescue! And he really was! :D Was a lot of fun.

Today I just paid my tuition fees for next year... at 4pm I have driving lessons: I hope turning the car around in a narrow street will finally work for me.. did it about 7 times and I still suck at it! arrrgh... besides that I have to pay liquorice for every time I let go of the clutch too soon :O... today is going to cost me a loooooot of candy I'm afraid. But I hope the tactics work!

^Had my grandmother's too yesterday :P. The average age was about.... 50-60 or so? My brothers and I were the only ones in their 20's, some others in their forties and the rest between 50-90, with the majority about 70 years of age? Anyway... the food was ok, haha. Though... they didn't have a dessert buffet, too bad :P. It was, as your grandfather's birthday, not so spectacular ;)

What did I do... Having aching muscles from survivalling, still isn't over yet xD, and finally I have a weekday without working on my thesis, yay :D

Ooh, I finally read Five greatest warriors by Matthew Reilly, a novel I've been waiting for to read since september, because the preceding book ended in a major cliffhanger (evil!)

Hmm.. just had a driving lesson again, and it went fine for a change :D There will be lunch soon.. and after that I'll be getting changed. Because I'm having a date this evening in Amsterdam (nervous!!!). But before all that starts.. I still have to pay a visit to my uni to pick up some essays and see what I did wrong. Not that it's much use, since I already passed the course. But I'd still like to know! :D

How was the date Arianne? :O Tell us, haha :P, or just pm :P

I was kidnapped yesterday afternoon more or less by 2 friends xD, they called me and dragged me to the city and in the evening we went to the house of one opf my friends and ate there and watched a movie. Avatar (again, well, since I saw it in cinema) and sorry for the Avatar fans around, but yet again I couldn't really enjoy the movie xD I saw too many references to other (children) movies, so for some reason I don't really like it :P

Anyway... I actually have to do some uni stuff, but I don't want too, haha :P (strange, isn't it? :P)

Haha, the date was fine though (just always hate the 'calling problem' after dates). But oh well.. we made an agreement to have a second date somewhere next week. So I guess it will turn out fine (for the cheesy details... just pm me :D )

Sounds good enough :D

Today I had a postcard in my mailbox from a penpal from Prague, which was quite cool, because I didn't expect anything, as I hadn't heard from him for a while, so that was nice ^^

Tomorrow I sheduled the great cleaning of my room at my parents house and perhaps in my student room too, both very much needed, especially the first one :P. And I'll try to fix up a soundtrack for you guys :D

I've been working 9h 45min today which is the longest so far. It's been pretty hot and therefore I drank about 3.5 litre water and 0.5 Coca Cola today till now. haha. Now I'm done, though and I'm looking forward to watch the next soccer games on TV.

So what else? I'll have one week off from Saturday - I'm looking forward to it because the weather should be really good next week!

Yesterday evening one of my housemates knocked on my door around 11/11.30 pm, asked me if I wanted to play soccer in the hall xD. She'd been learning for an exam whole evening so she needed some distraction :P. It was quite cool :P, and fortunately for us, few of the housemates were at home, because we sometimes hit the ball in a wrong direction so it would bang against their wall/doors :whistling:
Anyway, it was fun to do, and I won with 3-2, haha

Today I'll meet up with a friend from my study whom I haven't seen anymore since... uhm somewhere in the beginning of April? Sometimes it sucks not to have lectures anymore. Lectures are good for your social contacts :P
