. Subtitles can be convenient to keep track of the entire plot. If the movie is in English, then it's also not too bad if there are no subtitles, but if it's another language, I tend to prefer subtitles 
. For example I prefer the Dutch versions of Aladdin, the Lion King, the Rescuers and Ferngully over the 'original' English versions, because I'm so used to it. But if I had those films in English, then I generall prefer that version also. So in the case of animated movies my preference is related to the level of nostalgia, haha.
. But still, this does not only count for movies that were originally in English. For example I really wouldn't want to see Das Leben der Anderen in english or dutch....
. I cannot take some movies serious once they're dubbed.. For example Mamma Mia in german, or even.... the Lord of the Rings
